Experienced Secret Service agent, Pete Garrison (Michael Douglas) suspects that among White House staff is traitor. It is, however, forced the abandonment of an investigation into the matter, since there are extortionist, threatening disclosure of his romance with the first lady of the United States - Sarah Ballentine. Soon Pete is accused of treason and involvement in the assassination of the president. Slip into conflict with his subordinates, agent David Breckinridge (Kiefer Sutherland) who is convinced of his guilt. Officially released from service, Garrison is running out and trying to prove his innocence. It also does not allow for the next assault on the force of the head of state.
